Our Story
Falak Zan was founded with a mission to bring the elegance of Jian Zhan to a global audience, especially tea lovers and collectors in the Middle East and beyond. Our journey began with a deep respect for ancient craftsmanship, tracing back to the Song Dynasty (960–1279), when Jian Zhan was prized by scholars and emperors for its rich, captivating glazes and unparalleled durability.
We work closely with skilled artisans from Jianyang, Fujian—the historical birthplace of Jian Zhan. Using traditional wood-fired kilns and time-honored glazing techniques, each tea bowl undergoes a unique transformation in extreme temperatures, resulting in mesmerizing patterns resembling stars, galaxies, and flowing lava. This natural artistry makes every piece one of a kind, embodying both history and innovation.
